Unsere Erde ist der 3. Planet. Ihr Abstand zur Sonne beträgt 150 Millionen km. Die Erde hat einen Durchmesser von 12.760 km. 70% der Erdoberfläche bestehen aus dem Wasser der Ozeane. Die Ozeane des "blauen Planeten" speichern 97% des irdischen Wassers, sie haben einen Salzgehalt, der dem 3fachen unseres Blutes entspricht. Als Wärmespeicher sind die Meere entscheidend an der Bildung des Wetters beteiligt. Die Erde hat als einziger Planet eine Atmosphäre aus 21% Sauerstoff und 78% Stickstoff und ermöglicht damit uns bekannte Formen des Lebens. Sie umkreist mit einer Geschwindigkeit von 30 km/Sekunde die Sonne. Die Entfernung zum Mond beträgt 1,2 Lichtsekunden (= 384.000 km).
Die vier Sätze zur Erde werden durch ein gemeinsames Thema zusammengehalten, das sich, von Heinrich Rohr als Hymnus für den 2. Sonntag des klösterlichen Offiziums komponiert, eng an gregorianische Modelle anlehnt.

Our earth is the 3rd. planet and its distance from the sun is 150 million kilometers. The earth has a diameter of 2,760 kilometers. 70% of the earth’s surface is covered with oceanic water. The “blue planet’s” oceans are the reservoir for 97% of our terrestrial water. The oceans water is 3 times saltier than our blood. The seas act as storehouses for heat that decisively determine our weather. The earth is the only planet with an atmosphere of 21% oxygen and 78% nitrogen, allowing for life as we know it. At a speed of 30 kilometers / second the earth revolves around the sun. The distance to the moon is 1,2 light-seconds (384,000 kilometers).
Heinrich Rohr composed the hymn that serves as the common theme which holds the four earth movements together. The hymn closely adapts Gregorian chant and is played on the 2nd. Sunday of monasterial officiation.

Notre Terre est la troisième planète. Sa distance au Soleil est de 150 millions de km. Elle mesure 12.760 km de diamètre. L'eau des océans représente 70% de sa surface. Les océans de la "planète bleue" renferment 97% de toute l'eau terrestre, et le sel y est 3 fois plus concentré que dans notre sang. Les mers sont des réservoirs de chaleur, qui ont une influence déterminante sur la météorologie. La Terre est la seule planète possédant une atmosphère composée de 21% d'oxygène et de 78% d'azote, ce qui rend possible les formes de vie que nous connaissons. Elle tourne autour du Soleil à une vitesse de 30 km/seconde. La distance à la Lune est de 1,2 seconde-lumière (= 384.000 km).
Les quatre mouvements relatifs à la Terre sont liés par un thème commun: un hymne composé par Heinrich Rohr pour le 2ème dimanche de l'office des couvents, fortement inspiré du modèle grégorien.
